NAME
       hier - file system hierarchy

DESCRIPTION
       The  following  outline	gives  a  quick	 tour through a	representative
       directory hierarchy.

       /      root
       /vmunix
	      the kernel binary	(UNIX itself)

	      directory	for connecting detached	files for fsck(8)
