       halt - stop the processor

       /etc/halt [ -n ]	[ -q ] [ -y ]

       The  command  writes information	to the disks and then returns the pro-
       cessor to the monitor.  The machine does	not reboot.

       -n     Prevents the sync	before stopping.

       -q     Causes a quick halt, no graceful shutdown	is attempted.

       -y     Allows you to halt the system from a dialup.
