ESDCAT(1)		   Enlightened Sound Daemon		     ESDCAT(1)

       esdcat -	play a sound file from ssttddiinn

       eessddccaatt [-ss hostname:port] ["-n" name] [-bb] [-hh] [-mm] [-rr	freq] <	file

       The eessddccaatt application pipes data from ssttddiinn to the sound device, using
       the Enlightened Sound Daemon (eessdd).

       The following options are supported:

       --ss hostname:portContact the eessdd server on hostname at port.

       --bb	       Specify that the	output should be in 8-bit format. By
		       default,	the output is in 16-bit	format.

       --hh	       Display help text, and exit.

       --mm	       Specify that the	output should be in mono format. By
		       default,	the output is in stereo	format.

       --rr freq	       Specify that the	output rate should be set to freq. By
		       default,	the output rate	is set to 44.1 kHz.

       The following exit values are returned:

       00	Application exited successfully

       >00	Application exited with	failure

       esd-config(1), esdctl(1), esdmon(1), esdrec(1)
